Tom Herron is the founder and chief operator of Fins, Feathers, Paws & Claws Inc. Tom’s experience spans decades of animal care. His beginnings are rooted in a solid understanding and love for all animals.

As far back as he can remember, Tom has always had fish. He can recall having up to 21 tanks at a time as a young boy. He has had experience in breeding and raising rabbits, canaries, parakeets, guinea pigs and various kinds of fish.

In an effort to further his education, he became a certified Animal Health Technician in 1982. After obtaining his certification, he worked several years in the field mastering his gift for working with animals.

Tom now runs the Harleysville store and helps out when needed at the Quakertown store.

Pamela Jones has been with Fins, Feathers, Paws & Claws Inc. since 2000 and became Tom’s wife on October 15th, 2016. Pamela & Tom make a great team, allowing us to expand to our second location which she now runs in the Quakertown Farmers Market. Pamela loves the new store with its fast paced weekends. She is the reason both stores look as nice as they do and her artistic eye keeps both stores looking top notch.

Pamela is the driving force in the bird area. She does all of our hand feeding of the baby birds giving them her expertise & love that can be seen in the friendliness of her babies. We like to say there are handfed birds and then there are Pamela’s handfed birds. You can tell the difference and that is why our bird area in Quakertown is exploding in growth and far exceeding what we ever expected.
